Technical Description of the Batch Defect Incident in the RL06 Loader Series

Aug 06, 2026

Dear RIPPA Customer

With regard to market feedback on the RL06 loader and the RB06 backhoe loader, involving issues such as bent and damaged frame connecting pins, RIPPA’s R&D Center has conducted thorough testing and analysis. The identified problems, their causes, and corresponding countermeasures are detailed below:

During machine operation, the ear plate of the lower connecting pin between the front and rear frames fractured.

The causes identified through testing and analysis of this issue are as follows:

(1) When the loader travels over slopes or performs lifting operations, significant vertical tensile forces and lateral shear forces are exerted on the central articulation pin of the frame. Tests revealed that the downward vertical force acts solely on the pin ear plate without being transmitted to the frame itself; under prolonged operation, the ear plate was repeatedly subjected to bending loads exceeding its ultimate strength, ultimately leading to fracture.

(2) During testing, only the traveling, steering, and tilting angles were validated, without verifying the long-term working strength of the structure, which led to this issue.

With regard to the above issues, our company will implement the following countermeasures:

Solution (1): Weld additional support lugs beneath the front frame and replace the pin with an extended pin passing through the upper and lower frame lugs, so that the load is transferred to the frame instead of being borne directly by the pin, thereby extending the service life of the pin.

Solution (2): Perform strength verification on the enhanced articulated configuration, followed by 100 hours of field testing with repeated lifting under load and travel over rugged, pothole-filled roads to simulate various working road conditions, ensuring that the strength of the pin structure meets the service requirements.

In accordance with the above countermeasures, we conducted spot-check tests on 10 units of this model in-plant, and all test results met the test standards.

To address the above issues, our company will initiate a recall of the affected vehicles and carry out maintenance and repair programs. For the vehicles involved, we will provide free services including replacement parts, repair work instructions, and repair videos.

The replacement parts details are as follows (per unit):

Part No. Part Name Unit Quantity
