  • Leeds host Birmingham on Saturday
  • Blues beat Brentford in their last outing
  • Leeds could welcome back Liam Cooper and Sam Byram
David Davies should retain place in Birmingham side

Birmingham City travel to take on Leeds United this Saturday as the Blues look to remain in the Championship play-off places.

The Blues were relegated from the Premier League in 2011 and have never really looked like returning until now - but could this be their year?

The game kicks off at 00.00am AEST (3.00pm local time) on Sunday morning and will be streamed live online.

Preview

Manager Gary Rowett is working wonders at Birmingham and has steered them to fifth place in the Championship thanks to a record of four wins, three draws and two defeat.

Their recent form has seen them win two, lose two and draw one and they come into this clash on the back of a 2-0 away win at Brentford with Michael Morrison and Clayton Donaldson getting on the score sheet.

The Blues have no fresh injury worries heading into this game and David Davis is hoping to keep his place in the heart of midfield.

Leeds United are having an up and down season at the moment with two wins, two defeats and five draws and they will need to start converting single points into three if they are to have a promotion push.

Their last win in the Championship was a 2-1 success at MK Dons with Chris Wood and Charlie Taylor grabbing the goals, but they failed to back that up as they went down 3-0 away at Middlesbrough last weekend.

Manager Uwe Rosler may change things up this Saturday with Liam Cooper and Sam Byram hoping to get a recall to the starting line-up.

Leeds United have failed to win their last nine home league matches at Elland Road, while Birmingham City are unbeaten in their last six on the road.
