Burnley will be looking to make it five wins on the bounce when they travel to take on Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship on Monday evening.

Derby County vs Burnley kicks-off at 4.45am Tuesday morning AEST (7.45pm BST). The game will be available to stream live online.

The Clarets are aiming to bounce back from relegation from the Premier League last season at the first attempt and they are going the right way about it.

Sean Dyche’s men drew their first three matches in the Championship before going down 2-0 away at Ipswich Town, but since then they have recorded four successive victories against Brentford, Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday and MK Dons.

They ran out 2-1 winners over the Dons at Turf Moor on Tuesday thanks to goals from Sam Vokes and George Boyd to keep their impressive run going.

Dyche is happy to be on an unbeaten run after a disappointing start and he believes they are getting better with every game. He said:

“That was probably as fluid as we've been this season to open up opportunities. And the last 20 minutes shows the character, the will and the desire of the teamwork and the framework, all those things that are essential for the Championship season.

"I've spoken about our fluid play and there was a lot on show (against MK Dons), but there's still more to come. We had so many chances the game should have been dead at half-time, but it's not, miraculously, their goal lived a charmed life for a lot of the game.

"We have got a strength about us, a resilience with our organisation, so I think there was a good mixture.”

Former QPR, Manchester City and Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton could make his Clarets debut after improving his fitness, while Matt Lowton could also be handed his first start. Ashley Barnes, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Dean Marney and Kevin Long remain long-term absentees.

Derby County are another team in the Championship expected to be fighting for promotion come the business end of the season and they are now starting to hit some form.

The Rams got off to a disappointing start to their new campaign with four draws and one defeat but they are now on a two game winning streak.

Since losing 2-1 at home to Leeds United they have manged to pick up wins over Preston North End and Reading on the road with 2-1 and 1-0 score lines respectively.

Derby boss Paul Clement has nothing but praise for his team after they refused to panic after a tough start to the season. He said:

“After a difficult start to the season, it's been a brilliant response from the players. We hadn't been playing so badly, we just weren't picking up the points. I'm really pleased for everybody.

"We've had some good training sessions and some good meetings about what we need to do to turn the corner and the players have responded brilliantly. We've played better than Tuesday and got less and obviously the sending off was the turning point.”

The Rams look set to be unchanged from their win over Reading with Will Hughes, Craig Bryson, Jake Buxton and Chris Baird still on the casualty list.

These two last met in March 2014 during Burnley’s promotion campaign and the Clarets ran out 2-0 winners at Turf Moor with David Jones and Marney getting on the score sheet.
