Rabbitohs face Eels on Thursday

South Sydney Rabbitohs look to extend their winning streak to seven matches when they face the Parramatta Eels to launch NRL Round 15 action on Thursday night.

The Rabbitohs are arguably the form team of the competition, coming into this showdown with the struggling Eels on the back of a six-game winning streak - including a last-start 18-16 victory over the Titans. Parramatta also arrive at this fixture on the back of a rare win in 2018, downing the Cowboys in Darwin on Saturday.

Speaking of the Cowboys, they will attempt to bounce back in the first game on Friday night against the New Zealand Warriors at 1300SMILES Stadium. North Queensland were extremely disappointing during that loss to the Eels, while the Warriors were impressive in putting 34 points past the Sea Eagles last weekend.

The second game on Friday night pits the Sydney Roosters up against the Penrith Panthers in a clash of heavyweight teams. The Roosters are up to sixth on the ladder following their tight win over the Knights, while the Panthers continued their flying start to the season with a 23-22 victory over the Raiders.

Super Saturday begins at Belmore as the Canterbury Bulldogs square off against the Gold Coast Titans. Both sides have been battling this season and need the two points to keep pace with the top eight.

St George Illawarra Dragons then take on the Manly Sea Eagles at WIN Stadium in the second game on Saturday. The Dragons have been one of the most impressive teams all season and should be far too classy for the Sea Eagles, who are equal second-last on the ladder.

Cronulla Sharks and Brisbane Broncos - two teams clinging on to spots in the lower half of the top eight - face off in the last game on Saturday night at Southern Cross Group Stadium. The Sharks come into this clash on the back of a 24-16 win over the Tigers, while the Broncos were no match for Melbourne, falling 32-16.

Melbourne Storm look to make it back-to-back wins when they face Newcastle Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday. The Knights were extremely unlucky to lose by two points to the Roosters last week and will be relishing the chance to take out another of the competition’s big teams in front of their home fans.

Round 15 action concludes at Campbelltown Stadium on Sunday as the Wests Tigers play host to Canberra Raiders. Both sides will be determined to bounce back from last-start losses, with the Raiders falling by one point to Penrith and the Tigers going down by eight to the Sharks.
