Sydney Roosters target a repeat of their Round 4 hammering of the Brisbane Broncos when the two sides square off in NRL Round 10 action on Friday night.

After hosting eight games during Magic Round last week, Suncorp Stadium is back in use on Friday night as the Broncos entertain the Roosters on Friday night.

Brisbane will be desperate to avoid a repeat of what happened the last time they faced the minor premiers - and it wasn’t long ago either, with the Roosters running out dominant 36-4 winners six weeks ago.

Anthony Seibold has endured a tough start to his tenure at the Broncos, but his team clicked into gear last week, recovering from an early deficit against Manly to prevail 26-10 and secure their third win of the season.

Can they now put together back-to-back wins for the first time this season? Jack Bird is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, with  Gehamat Shibasaki moving from the wing into the centres and Jamayne Isaako coming back into the side. James Segeyaro has also been named on the reserves as he edges closer to a Broncos debut.

Meanwhile, the Roosters extended their winning streak to eight matches last week as they held off a late fightback from Canberra to emerge triumphant by a 30-24 scoreline.

The Roosters were cruising and leading by 24 points at one stage, but a host of injuries meant they were on their last legs for much of the second half, and only a knock on late by Canberra in the dying minutes meant they were able to hold on for the win.

Boyd Cordner is the only lasting casualty from that clash though, with the captain still suffering from concussion and replaced in the side by Lindsay Collins.

Before they were struck by injuries, the Roosters were doing it easy against Canberra - a top four side who were in great form themselves. Staying up in Queensland for this clash, the Roosters will be fresh and ready to do it all again, and even though the Broncos were better last week, they are still off the pace when it comes to the competition leaders.
