The Cleveland Cavaliers will shoot for a 2-0 lead over the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals on Friday evening.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will try to make it two wins in a row over the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals when they face off at the TD Garden on Friday.

The defending champions drew first blood in the best-of-seven series after cruising to a 117-104 win on Wednesday. Behind the impressive performances of LeBron James and Kevin Love, the second-seeded Cavaliers dominated the first half and never looked back as they improved to 9-0 in the postseason. James finished with 38 points, nine rebounds and seven assists while Love tallied 32 points and 11 rebounds.

Tristan Thompson also stepped up by posting 20 points and nine rebounds.

"It was our two bigs that set the tone -- Kev and Double-T (Tristan Thompson), they were phenomenal," James said. "I saw it in Kev this morning. I knew what type of game he was going to have. So he came through for us."

Kyrie Irving had 11 points and six assists for the Cavaliers.

Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder paced Boston with 21 points apiece. Isaiah Thomas added 17 points and 10 assists for the top-seeded Celtics, who hardly got any rest after needing seven games to eliminate the Washington Wizards in the conference semifinals.

"They were the better team tonight. The hit us first. They were more physical," Thomas said. "We can't let that happen again."
