Round 13 of the AFL home and away season gets underway on Thursday June 14 when Port Adelaide take on the Western Bulldogs at the Adelaide Oval.

The Power come off one of their better wins of 2018- a 14 point victory over premiers Richmond and have been posted as $1.12 favourites in the early head to head betting with CrownBet.

Ken Hinkley's side sit in 8th position on the ladder after the halfway mark of the season and the four points is vital as the bottleneck for position's in the eight begins to heat up.

Their opponents, the Bulldogs, have generally struggled in season 2018 and have won just the four games. The 2016 premiers have dropped they past three and need a win to keep their remote finals hopes alive. The action begins at 7.50PM AEST.

The Power and Bulldogs clash is one of six games for the round, which is down on the usual quota of nine as six teams enjoy the weekend off with the bye. They are Brisbane, Collingwood, Essendon, GWS, Melbourne and North Melbourne.

Sydney and the West Coast Eagles are two sides that are in action and they feature in Friday night footy. The rivals of the mid 2000's sit in the upper echelon's of the ladder and this one shapes as a beauty.

The Swans head in as favourites on the back of the home ground advantage and come off a 71 point win over St Kilda, while the top placed Eagles head in with fresh legs after they had their bye in Round 12.

A couple of the competition's struggling sides, Carlton and Fremantle, feature in the first of three games on Saturday afternoon with the Blues hosting the Dockers at Etihad Stadium.

Carlton have won just the solitary game this year, while Free have chalked up five wins. However, the Dockers have been ordinary on the road in 2018 and all of their wins have occurred at Perth Stadium. It is the Dockers that have been installed as favourites for this one after their win over Adelaide last weekend.

Following this clash it is the Gold Coast Suns that take on St Kilda at Metricon Stadium. The Suns have not won since Round 5 and have gone down in heavy fashion in the last month. In the past two weeks they have registered just 62 points in losing to Geelong by 85 and GWS by 108.

However, their opponents, St Kilda, have not won since Round 1 and sit lower than the Suns on the ladder. It will be interesting to see just which side can transform their ordinary form.

Saturday night footy sees Hawthorn and Adelaide go at it at the MCG, in what is an important one for the two sides the sit just outside the eight, while on Sunday at the same venue it is Richmond and Geelong that go at it.

Just one win separated the Qualifying Finalists from 2017 and the Tigers are slight favourites in the early betting. They return to the MCG, where they have claimed their last 15 matches at, including the 2017 Grand Final, as well as the Qualifying win over the Cats.
